To read my Dad's book press on the link "Sewage Circus". It is still missing the graphics but they are not essential. My dad was the Professional Engineer responsible for municipal waste management in B.C. Canada in the late 1970's and early 1980's. At home, as a teenager, I helped him build a solar powered preheater for our hot water tank. In his job he oversaw the building of many sewage treatment facilities in B.C. and at home we always composted everything organic for my Mum to use in her vegetable gardens. The point is that he was both knowledgable and concerned about environmental issues. But he is also the person who signed off on Victoria's long fall sewage outlets. He did so because he believed they were better than the alternatives, and because they were not a fundamental problem. His book explains the details.
